Will insurance cover my car's windshield replacement?
Your insurance company may cover your vehicle’s windshield replacement! It is different for every insurance company and policy, so be sure to check with your provider. It’s also important to find out if you have a deductible. AFG auto glass is contracted with all insurances, and you can call our 24/7 customer service line if you need help!
Is it possible to repair a small windshield chip or crack?
Yes! If the size of the chip or crack is smaller than a quarter (coin), then a chip repair can be performed to prevent the damage from spreading and ruining the whole glass. Depending on the type of damage was present, the chip, or crack may or may not still be visible after a repair.
Can I drive my vehicle immediately after a windshield replacement?
Yes! If you have a windshield replacement done, you may drive immediately without any worries. However, we recommend to not use a car wash until 72 hours after the replacement, so the adhesive has enough time to fully cure and create a seal to protect the interior of your car
Will the new glass be of different quality than the original?
Unless it is specified by our customer, AFG Auto Glass will always use OEM glass. This means that the appearance, quality, and safety of the glass will not be any different from the original. The only difference will be the logo/branding of the manufacturer. Other options include original glass (available by ordering from the dealer, and is MUCH more expensive) or aftermarket glass which can be lower in quality and slightly cheaper than OEM.
